First step is done

May 17, 2008

This blog has been created to defend the band My Chemical Romance.
After the tragical story of Hannah Bond, many newspapers have started to say that the little girl’s suicide is due to MCR and their music.

we want to prove they’re wrong.

In this page we will put the fans’ stories about how mcr saved their lives.

Alot of stuff gets said to me about mcr, people slagging them, i just ignore it, but the article about them causing some1 to take their life was a step to far.
It upset me so thinking they were getting this pinned on them. People are judging this band by how they look. If they stopped and actualy listened to the music itself, prehaps they would understand why this band is so important to some many people. It doesnt encourage people to kill themselves, it offers them something to relate to, its a kind of support, telling people to ‘carry on’ and be strong, not to quit. I was outraged by that article, so i want to show my support for my chemical romance.

Hey, I’m Katherynne, but call me Kath. I’m from Brazil.
MCR saved my life when I was 7. Yep, I had just 7 years old when I heard “Vampires Will Never Hurt You”, in 2003. And, yeah, I have 13 years old now.
People at school used to hate me. They were planing to kill me. They were REALLY planing to kill me. When I found it, I went crazy. I have depression since this time.
When I was 11, I almost cut my neck in my grandma’s home. I gave up because of My Chemical Romance.
I said to myself: “Stop it. You need to be alive to see them when they come here”. That’s what I did. ‘Cause I love this band more than anything in this fucking damn life.
They went here this year. I saw them live. And you think: “Then will you kill yourself?” No, I won’t! Why? Because I have a dream now. I will play with them someday. Or maybe just let them hear my music through MySpace. I won’t die until they hear me.
That’s how MCR saved my life.
People need to stop of blaming them for Hannah’s death.
    Blame them for my life!
For the life of so many people who love them!

    Xoxo

    I agree with Kay.
It’s not fair to pin this on MCR.
I mean the girl would have shown signs of depression and we’re expected to believe no one noticed?
I mean surley her teachers noticed, it was mentioned in the article that the headteacher had noticed.
I think we should force the daily mail into making the author of that article print an appolgy to MCR fans world wide.
    Who’s with me??
